My name is Ron Freund , I'm a multi - instrumentalist, Tap dancer and band leader from Los Angeles.I offer tailor-made entertainment for private events, specializing in swing music from 1930's - 40's and Gypsy Jazz.You can catch me playing weekly at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and other venues in town such as the Sunset Tower Hotel and Caviar Kaspia French Restaurant in west Hollywood.Thanks for checking out my site!

About

A little bit about my self..I grew up in a small town in north of Israel, started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and the first record I ever bought was “The Razors Edge” by AC/DC.As a young adult I traveled quiet a lot. I studied music in Tel Aviv and theater in Berlin. I experimented with electronic music and composed professionally for modern dance. I danced on the streets of New Orleans and in the NYC subway and my first role in commercial theater was to tap dance as I'm coming out of an elevator (only to get thrown out of a window).I got to collaborate on stage with the legendary Bobby Mcferrin and performed for the former Israeli president Shimon Peres. I toured the globe both as a street performer and as a cast member of the renowned Israeli dance group 'Mayumana', led my own swing band “Ron & the red Beans” for 8 years, taught Tap at major festivals around the world and my original compositions for modern dance were performed live at the Hannover Opera House, Germany.In December 2020 I moved to Los Angeles, which became my new home.I love biking and cooking, I add lot's of cumin to almost everything I cook and I have a beautiful daughter named Mayah.
